    Hello.

I'm rather quiet here, trying to learn things gradually, but I came across an idea and I'm curious how it could be implemented.

Is there a way to be notified by email when a PDF, DOC or some kind of file is added to Google that would be associated with requests for bidding, or requests for proposal for purchasing fuel, etc.? One of my other professions is oil and fuel brokering and...it would be nice to find a way to jump on things quickly, and faster than others. I'm sure someone else might already be doing this but... I get the feeling not many are. =)

Any help is appreciated via private messaging, please.

Not completely sure if I got you right, but your best bet is http://google.com/alerts. Set up a real time alert with the filetype:pdf, doc and whatever modifier, plus obviously include your keywords like "oil" and whatever.

Additionally get a little script to look through those emails delivered to you by google alerts for additional parsing.

    Hope this helps

Type your keyword, click Advanced search, set results from last 24 hours and filetype: pdf

Thanks. =) I'm still super-new to Google's many tools. I think alerts will work fine. I just didn't realize I could use the alerts for actual files too.
