I bought a domain with "laptops Ireland" in it but I got a request to change nameservers. This cant be right can it? laptopsireland.ie redirects to another site and laptopsireland.com looks shit. What will happen if I dont change?

I contacted godaddy also and said WTF

what do nameservers have to do with laptopsireland.ie or laptopsireland.com?

Im lost on what your asking.

I don't really understand what you're asking either. You have to set the nameservers to wherever you're hosting the domain, that's all there is to it.

Sorry i wasnt more clear, godaddy asked me to remove the name servers from the domain I bought with "laptops ireland" in it.

For instance, if you bought the domain "xbox.com" its trademark of xbox and they would ask you to remove Nameservers but dont see how laptops ireland is registered trademark. Its just like "cars ireland" or "houses ireland", can they be a registered trademark?

Are you meaning you got requested to change your domain? As if your domain was breaching some copyright laws or something? Or do you just mean you got a request through to change your nameservers?!

EDIT: Just saw your post above... not sure why they would do that tbh. You can't copyright a country name can you?! Maybe go on companies house and see if anyones company is registered up that name.

Spids that doesn't make sense. Can you copy paste exactly what GoDaddy e-mailed you?

:pat: That doesn't mean they WANT you to change the nameservers...It's just an email confirmation notice that the nameservers WERE changed, probably by you using the domain control panel...
:eek5:
