[REQ] Where to issue PRESS RELEASE?

Hi Guys,

Does anyone know how to issue a news article? If I had a good news find that would be no problem getting picked up by CNN even, then what could I do to spread it? I have already submitted as a news tip to most large news providers but somehow I get the feeling nobody will even bother to look at it.

you can submit to prlog.org for free but it wont get picked up by the major channels


to get the major channels you need to submit to submission sites like
prnewswire
prweb
imarketwire

will cost btwn 400-700 but you'll get it syndicated by msn, reuters, and others

If you don't want to go with the big boys in PRWeb, go to the Buy/Sell/Trade section and find SagarBest's thread. He'll take care of you for a good deal.

I think PRWeb will get you more traffic in the end, but his service has helped me - most especially with Yahoo

One thing to consider is that many PR channels are so full of crap these days, a lot of them are ignored (PRs will contact relevant news outlets directly at the time of posting the Press Release).

Also remember that if you want news coverage, your announcement genuinely has to be interesting, relevant and worth a news outlet covering it. If it's just an effort to get some attention, you will get some from pumping it through the PR syndication sites, but it'll tail off pretty quickly.
