Will using a private proxy based in another country have bad effects?

I'm based in europe and have seen some very attractive private proxy services being offered in the states. I would like to know how much proxy location actually affects functionality (with a program such as scrapebox, for example).

If not, could anyone recommend any cheap proxy services being offered in Europe? Specifically France?

Basically, there is no remarkable problem with the functionality with the location of the proxy; but some of the proxy services may not provide continuous service in hole day then it creates problems. If you choose one that provide 24 hours service then it is ok for you to use proxy from anywhere in the world.

However, I am currently using private proxy service of "squidproxies" - I got it from the sale forum of BlackHatWorld offered by "faster".

I find it on the first page of the sale forum on that time, howevere, may be it is not still there, if so then you have to make a search.
