Just a thought but how about using Firefox and using the SEO Tool Extension from seobook.com but first do a google search using the this search code
"your keyword" inurl:forums which will give you results with any url with your keyword and the forum(s) domain extension in the url or if you want a somewhat more relevant result with your keyword(s) in the Title plus the results I just mentioned previously use this search command instead:
intitle:"your keywords" inurl:forums
Now where I state "your keywords" in those search commands mentioned above you can use quotes if you want to for an exact match but I normally use without quotes to get more results. Now that you have the results page up toggle your SEO Tool of FireFox on (going from gray to color) and then refresh your page. Now you will see all kind of SEO data at your disposal. You can click and get the data you want while on the result page and you can even click on the hyper links that will take you straight to that page where your data for that specific result came from. Now even though the results can be somewhat skewed with Alexa and etc. it still gives you an idea of what type of traffic high or low goes to that forum. The data I check is the Page Rank,Sometime the Google Cache Date but not neccessary, Age of the Domain, Alexa Rank, the Compete.com Rank and Uniques data. Now they have other data you can check like Bloglines which tell you how many people are subscribed to that feed but that is up to you. This helps me to better target my niches hopefully with valuable discussions in the chosen forums as well as linking to my sites that has more content as well as profitable monetization. I hope this helps but keep searching there is alot to learn outside the box. BTW this can also gives me better ideas of what topics to come up with when writing articles that can be useful for readers when they come to your site or blog but that is another topic to be covered later.

Your welcome Wanabe glad to help. But I like to add one more thing with that technique I have given you which consist with slightly different search codes(instead of using "inurl:" use "site:" for the next stage of what I am about to explain. Now after you find and narrow down on your results of which forums you are going to select, how about taking that forum or one of your forums and take that same keyword you used before and get a result of every thread that is covered in that forum based on your keyword regardless of what topic is being covered about that keyword. After you select your forum take the home url of that forum (for example domain.com/forums or forums.domain.com) Note: you can include the "/" that is included with that home forum domain mentioned in the example I just explained and it will still work what I am about to show you.
intitle:marketing site:seoelite.com/chat + marketing
This will give you every relevant thread on the subject "marketing" regardless of what topic is covered about marketing. Here is another example with a different domain format from the seoelite.com example.
intitle:marketing site:forums.digitalpoint.com + marketing
I gave you the samples so you can see the results in action and get a clearer picture of live results. This is also what I mean by putting the home url of that forum regardless of what format of the domain just as I shown in the examples. And use the "+" as shown in the examples above with your keyword. Note:Make sure you space one time on both sides of the "+" or you will probably not get the results you desire. Try and you will see what I mean. With this info you will be able to get involved in all the threads that are discussing different things about your niche keyword in that selected forum. Besides this is just one way to search a domain for research about your keyword. I am trying to give you another idea to add with your above technique I have already given you from my last post and with both of them combined could become very useful if used wisely. Make sure you replace the forum domains mentioned in the example with your selected home forum domains as well as replace the "marketing" with your keyword niche.

Thanks for your share but how I have to do in order to obtain the forums like this: "mykeyword".com/forums or forums."mykeyword".com (or instead of .com it can be .org or .net ,etc) Is this possible?

big boards are good but can be outdated, they can take up to a year to register a forum, leaving out many active forums. also, they don't always have stats for posts/week and posts/user which is what really counts. my top forums by far has been something awful.
