For those newbies who had join or for those long time members have only 10 rep points, if you give then NEGATIVE rep, that would be too big difference.
i think it is not fair for them and myself...
i guess i am the FIRST member here getting the MOST neg rep...lol...

You have a reputation so far of 1, i will maybe in future add this power to Usercp, but not as yet. Also your top suggestion i dont think is a personal good idea, because it can work in several ways, if we make them leave a comment they will just write garbage anyway
if we make a minumum of 4 letters someone will just write ghdf . Personally i think if a comment deserves a comment they will give it

Damn, I got a red last night and then today you make reputation visible before I have time to recover. Can there be some kind of protection against retaliatory rep? Most forums make it anonymous, but what happened last night is I gave someone red because he was being an ass, so then he responds with a red by saying "You reap what you sow." That's why eGay did away with sellers being able to give negative feedback to buyers, because as soon as one guy would leave a neg, the other one would.
And my rep power is probably zero so the guy I redded first probably didn't even get touched by it.

One drawback I see to the current system is that if you spend a lot of time answering questions and helping the noobs it really doesn't do anything for your reputation because they have zero rep power when they give you reps.

I've changed the rep requirement from 50 posts to 10 posts, that should help some, while still disallowing total noobs from using/abusing our rep system.
Note that a user must have a rep score of 10 to be able to leave rep. All users are given 10 rep points at registration, but it's up to them to keep it at that level or above

Yea, I've also a lot of reps from newbies
This newb, give's you also a positive rep... It was a good idea
(now I hope that giving positive rep is free, or do I get a invoice for the rep that I have given away ?)
