Reputation system check, can anybody just negative rep you for nothing???

hello mods,
I would like to draw your kind attention to the activities of some members with respect to the reputation system. I have been negatively repd by a person for sharing my problem with this community in the LOUNGE section which says that you can discuss anything at all. I take utmost care not to break any rules but I still got a negative rep. I accept that I did make mistakes while I was a noob but now I don't and still some people just use the negative reputation function for nothing. There should be a strict rule pertaining to the rep system because we slog each day to make some reputation and some others should not be allowed to take away what we did.

My rep was down to 8, I shared and brought it back to 12 and then got negative reputation. I really wanna grow as a member of this forum. Please consider this if you think this is worth your time.

If people disapprove of your posts, for any reason, shouldn't they be allowed to act on it?
Now, you want the staff to tell people how to think and act to that level? Just seems off to me.

if they don't like and the rules are against it then others should BE allowed to rep it negatively but if it is in accordance with the rules and they are repping it just for the sake of it then something should be done. Its just my opinion others may think differently. Mods may close this thread if they think that this is a crappy thread. SORRY FOR WASTING YOUR TIME

Funny thing about this place, everyone's opinions count, just not everyone's opinions get acted on. Hell, if you don't speak up you'll never know when someone will say, Hey, that's a good idea.
