I am going to start doing reputation management based around 7878 method. The one thing I find somewhat problematic is coming up with a domain that isn't too long and shows that the site is a review or feedback type site. I've also considered something like <city> feedback, but there's lots of suburbs and I'd like to be able to market to the whole region not one small city and would rather not register 15 different domains. My other thought was to create bitly links for each client I'm working with. So for example, if the client was Hooters I'd go on bit.ly and create a link for them bit.ly/chicagohooters or bit.ly/hootersfeedback or whatever it may be. I think I'd have a better chance of making a link that works, and then it can be redirected to whatever domain I have setup for the review site. Anyone else try this? Any issues with using a bit.ly for something like this? Do you think this would be any kind of a turnoff to customers? Just wondering if they would go to the page or if they would be somewhat hesitant because they're unfamiliar with bitly. My thought is that if it's coming from a reputable business they wouldn't think twice but curious to hear other thoughts.
