Hey there, I have an instagram account that I created last year for a dropshipping website that I had set up, I had gotten it up to 10k followers before I stopped pursuing the business and just left the account there in memoriam. I haven't posted anything on it in nearly a year and it's retained the majority of it's followers. So now I was thinking about starting a page in a new niche and instead of making another account and starting from scratch I want to remove everything from the existing account/renaming it and start fresh with over 9k followers behind me.
The previous niche wasn't something that I was interested in at all and was targeted pretty well so I'm sure I'll lose a good deal of followers once I pivot but it's still better than starting with 0, plus the account is aged. I just don't know if there's anything I'm missing that instagram might not allow. Is that the case? Is there anything rule-wise that says you can't do it or am I in the clear?
