Lately I have experienced that when posting the same piece of content on multiple accounts the reach is less than normal. This has been happening for the past 10 days, is this a new Instagram update? If yes, should I start repurposing content and how different should each variation be? I would love to see an example.

yes it is a newish update they said they would be cutting down the organic reach of reposted content.

Re posting content wont work, plus they are banning account for adult orientation so be careful if you are in that niche.

Yeah, ofcourse they would do that eventually, they want original content that have not been seen on their platform before.

It still works, I get millions of views on reposted content as it is, but I give them credits. I dont think the update has yet rolled out, it might be still pending.

Is there any limitations from TikTok to Instagram with editing the TikTok videos prior to posting it on IG?

Yes, Instagram may be limiting the reach of identical posts. Try changing up your content a bit—different images or captions—to keep your posts engaging.

What do you mean by 'give them credits'?

I haven't seen anything different yet myself, but people say they have.

I edit slightly, change caption and sound and I'm not seeing any problems yet.

If you keep using the same content as is with no necessary edits and changes to multiple accounts, it absolutely will turn out like that. Worked that way for quite some time now.

It’s likely that Instagram’s algorithm is limiting the reach of identical content posted on multiple accounts, which could explain the drop in visibility. Repurposing content is a smart move to counter this. Create variations by changing formats, adding new visuals, or expanding on the original idea. For example, turn a quote post into an image, a video, or a carousel. Each variation should be distinct to avoid being flagged as duplicate content while still delivering your core message.

When you give them credits that account owner is notified that his content is published by someone else? and do they ask you to remove it?
Yes they are notified, and it depends if they ask to remove or not from person to person.

maybe they want to lessen "spam" contents and to avoid stealing of other creators' contents?

Did you find a solution? I have the same problem.
