As far as I know, there isn't a way to get an alert when someone posts a reply with your text quoted. The only current solution I'm aware of is to use the built-in Subscriptions feature:
When you post a new thread, or reply to a topic, you can choose to automatically add that thread to your list of subscribed threads, with the option to receive email notification of new replies to that thread.
You can setup your Subscription options to email you when someone replies to a post/thread you've made or have subscribed to, by clicking UserCP > Options > Default Thread Subscription Mode
This won't email you updates when someone replies to only YOUR quoted post, but when someone replies to the thread in general. The only other solution I can think of would be to have a custom script built to have the server email you every time someone posted a reply with your {quote=userid} text, which, I'm guessing, is pretty difficult. If someone knows of a pre-built plugin that might do this, then I'm all ears.
what if everyone automatically subscribed to a post when they respond in a thread.. And after like a couple days or so the subscription expires automatically?
I'm just sick of talking on forums and then the guy who you are talking to responds once and never re-visits the thread again lol
