Hi all, been browsing a lot recently to similar posts and others going through the same struggles as myself and couldn’t find any thread that was specifically correlated to my questions.
I know quite a bit about the replica game as I knew about taboo, yup back in 2016-17 when it was super low-key but now I know with TikTok, everyone knows.
I have suppliers for well known brands and items are 1:1 but I am not too sure how I should sell/list them…
My main method was to create a shopify/wordpress website and have the items listed and either 1. Blur half the brand name out for example, it would show as ‘Palm A*****’ in the photo with the last bit blurred out as I’ve seen a lot of Yupoo sellers do this to avoid getting taken down and have the title as “P*** A*****’ so it implies what brand customers are after or 2. List blank clothing like hidden Aliexpress sellers do and so it will just be a blank black tee with the title of ‘Oversized Black Summer Tee’ or whatever and then have a yupoo with links so customers know what item is what.
Only downside of method 2 is that where would I list the yup? I don’t think I could have it on the website as then I could get taken down and knowing that my customer base will be aged 16-25, not all might be as knowledgable etc..
Only other method I was thinking was to just create a yupoo and have it in my Telegram group chat which people can join when I promote the products via ads on Instagram, Facebook etc. and they can just use the links in the yupoo to decipher what item is what. Only issue I see with this is that it makes the whole process a bit more tedious, especially for customers who don’t understand the whole procedure and then thinking its a scam.
What would be the most viable option for running a replica website? Should I just ditch the website and only use Instagram/Telegram and slowly grow my customer base and do direct shipping or do my methods I listed before.
If anyone is in this industry and would like to either work together, discuss strategies/methods, I’m more than happy to engage and share what I know.
