Replica Alienware laptop

I found this Alienware M17x replica offer on a Chinese website:

I contacted them and they told me that it is replica (they called it "1:1 high copy") . However, I asked what should be the difference between the original one (sold at more than $1500) and this fake one .... they told me it is same design and same hardware specs ...

This really cannot be the case, if it uses genuine hardware components, how could they sell it that cheap??

You pretty much answered your own question man. You get what you pay for. I wouldn't touch a replica laptop or any other electronic for that matter. If you looking to save money, just buy a dell xps with the same specs and you will get the exact same computer for a lot cheaper just without the fancy lights.

Are you planning to resell these or something?

At first I wanted to order one for myself. I think reselling is not so easy, as this is replica, I think you cannot sell this on eBay etc.....

But I still do not get this, they cannot really state same specifications as the real one and then do not offer it. I mean, e.g. they say Intel i7 720XM 2.3 GHz, so it should really have this CPU.

What is the "replica" here? If you buy a replica iPhone it can be clearly seen what is the "replica", just design is same as original one, but the fake one does not have iOs, does not have same menu functions etc.

But in this laptop case, they state the same specs as the real one.
