If my main keyword was a distinct name such as 'joe bloggs' for example

I checked monthly search traffic, and the highest searches were both

joe bloggs and also 'bloggs'

So for my main keyword, would i put in both 'joe bloggs' and also 'bloggs', or would 'joe bloggs'be ok.
Is it bad to repeat a keyword, even though it would be second highest searched?

This is confusing me, any help would be great.

have you heard of "keyword diversity" if not google it.

After Google Hummingbird On-Page SEO is all about writing good content and using keyword diversity.

You can repeat the keyword, But there should be a limit, which called keyword density, Just maintain that, keep it maximum 2% in each article.

The biggest thing about the content regardless of density is that it actually gives the users something of value.. If you are not doing that it can be the most optimized page in the world and Google is going to know it's junk.. Human review will kill a spammy site even if technically speaking everything is perfect.

I've always wondered the same thing and it has left me confused for awhile, I'll be looking at "keyword diversity" as #3 has suggested, thank you! :)
