Hey guys,

I've had a look over the forum trying to find out more information on reputation management.. as one of my clients actually asked me to get him trip advisor reviews etc..

So i am keen to get into doing this and offering it to local businesses in my area..

My thoughts on it have been this:

1. Get customers to leave reviews on a review system i create for them rather than them going to the likes of trip advisor.
2. Post fake reviews for the client.

lol...

Any info , tutorials would be appreciated.

This is what I'm doing full-time for business and it's going better and better for me every month. I'm just sub-par at actually doing the reputation mgmt work needed to make the positive sites go up and the negative go down. Im a hell of a marketer/salesman though. If I could team up with someone maybe local to me to collaborate on this, the sky is literally the limit.

Tradz, why does your client want to use trip advisor exclusively? The problem with that approach is that he can't contain or control negative reviews. If you post 5 good reviews and one customer posts a bad review, he won't get business.

I would suggest doing real reputation management and look to control the top 10 for him then the negative reviews won't matter.
 
If you are going the second route I suggest you start creating and aging accounts as of today. You'll need to create some content with those profiles before you leave your client a positive review so it doesn't look fake or get filtered.
 
Gaming TA isn't all that easy. They have a TON of people in the forums that will ensure that no matter what the truth is about a hotel or resort that it gets heard loud and clear by anyone that visits the site.

The best thing for your client to do is to run a kickass business, impress every guest like crazy and then hand them cards at checkout that asks for reviews on sites like TA, etc.

Also, ensure that you or someone else is policing their forums and reviews regularly to offer advice to people and to clean up any negativity.
 
Posting fake positive reviews isn't necessarily "Reputation Mangement", it's basic Local SEO. If you contact me on Skype, I'm in process of assembling a group of review suppliers. We're doing review swapping also. I think that this post would have been better placed in White Hat SEO, as it's Local SEO which is by definition White Hat.

Yeah Pasting Fake review is one of the best way in market these days or there are some ex changers who can exchange good review. There are some facebook pages in which these type of activities are happening. lol

Yelp and TA and other sites are cracking down hard on these types of schemes...

Posting fake reviews might not be the best idea. Instead, try rewarding your clients for posting real reviews.
That should work great but if still doesn't works then maybe you could try purchasing some reviews which would help you out.
 
I know this is an older post, but I was wondering if anyone has information similar to this they wouldn't mind sharing.. It would be greatly appreciated! I want to educate myself as much as possible, and this would help immensely...
