Here's the situation I'm currently in:

    - I own a high-end domain name. For example - tickets.com.
    - Now, let's say I offered it for rent to Kayak.com and they agreed.
    - Then, I set-up the DNS in such a way that when you visit tickets.com/page/1 it would be the same exact page as kayak.com/page/1

Question - would tickets.com domain help kayak.com to get higher in the organic results (just by having this "keyword" domain name, but with exactly the same content?)

Sorry if this is a bit confusing :)

If you have 2 same domain going to the same page, tell google that they are the same. Otherwise your dream of orgranic will be destroyed from google sandbox
You can do it in webmasters tool

You got good domain and it's ranking also otherwise no one will rent out... You can use redirect so whoever comes to your site will be redirected to where you want to send. Google doesn't have any problem in Using redirect.

Btw you ranking or getting typin traffic? there are some sources on internet which buy sell traffic for such domains... Google them...

Why don't develop it... :) could be less instant money but in long run it will give you more.

Well, the domain doesn't get any traffic at the moment, that's why I asked whether JUST the fact that it has the keyword in it will help kayak.com rank higher :)

I have seen many sites with the same content but using different domain names. I guess this gives them increase in traffic. Why else should they keep doing it.
