Removing UAW and article links

I've been hearing from a few sources that I trust that after removing a few of the most spammy looking links their rankings have started to climb again after been bombed by the recent Google changes.

Has anyone got any advice on how to remove uaw links etc with ease?

I don't think this is the case. I got had bad - listings dropped almost 400 positions and after about 3 weeks they are back up actually way beyond where they were when I got hit. All I did was added some unique content to my site and added more variety to my anchor text. I did not remove any links.

For quite a few sites I own, I've done this too successfully. However, other sites haven't been so lucky. It seems every niche has its own, different, parameters.

@OP -- Its almost impossible to remove all the links. You would need to either contact their support which I don't believe is in a position to remove these links or otherwise contact each and every webmaster. I'll just leave them as they are — not waste my energy there — and add more diversity via other means.
