Removing links from guest posts.

There are a lot of guest posts on my blog. Some of them have links pointing to some lame blog. I want to remove some of those links. I know it's unethical but after the recent PR update I've decided to not pass too much link juice to other sites.

Do guest bloggers keep track of the guest posts they submit to other blogs time to time?

I don't want them contacting me later about this or take revenge by attacking my site or whatever.
I know it's immature of me to do this, so don't say it.

A simple Yes/No would do.

Some do, some don't. Hard for us to know if your guest authors does it or not..

I used to always use DP for link exchanges, then remove the reciprocal link a few weeks later, some removed mine, some did not. There is no saying what they will or will not do, or do and do not keep track of.

Mostly people don't keep track of Guest Posts. But if you're blog is really good and ranking well in Google, has good authority, then users will definitely keep track of their post on your blog.
I would suggest make the links nofollow.

If you use wordpress you can install plugins like "Follow/Nofollow Control" to set all links to nofollow. I would suggest to do that and not remove the links completely

I suggest you don't do it,that's a lame move that will ruin your reputation.
From my point of view,you should've thought of that before asking for free content.
When people will see no links in their articles,they'll feel scammed.

Completely agree with this.

To answer your question, it really depends on the guest poster. Some people keep track of their Guest Posts meticulously while others barely ever check if the link is still live.

To be honest you could set all of the links to no follow and it may not change a lot.

If your worried about google seeing you linking out they will still see you linking out at no follow.

Equally if the whole web went no follow we would all be screwed really.
