Removing bad links from foreign sites - submit abuse to host?

I'm trying to remove bad blog comments from a client's website. However, most of them are foreign websites in Chinese, etc and don't have a contact page.

The only option seems to be do contact the host and file an abuse. Has anyone had any luck doing it this way? What do you resort to when you cannot contact the admin?

Waste of time...even if they werent from china the website aren't technically doing anything wrong because linking to other sites isnt illegal and chin ease website hosted in china really dont do anything about abuse anyway even if they have copyrighted content everywhere. sorry.

I once wanted to get rid of some spam for one of my small sites... the website the blog spam was one had a non spammed and active forum it was only some hidden forgotten blog being used as a spam farm that I wanted them to remove the blog spam from so I created a forum thread there and even explained that it is bad for their own website and they didnt do anything about it and just deleted my forum post...... they were from new zealand. Some spam farms are designed for link jiice anyway so contacting the admin wont do much because they want spam to fuel something.....

The hosts were not in China but rather core countries.

Exactly, Use disavow tool and you should be fine.

disavow to get them not counting for google. Also use dmca to remove any copyright material.
