Does anyone know how to remove sites from the MediaWiki spam blacklist?

I have a client whose websites were added blacklist in 2011. That is 5 years ago and the management of the time are now no longer at the client.

The client had hired someone who thought it Wikipedia wouldn't notice blatant spamming on articles, and who managed to get all sites owned by the client banned. The client didn't realise that the employee had done this. The employee was sacked fairly soon after for other dubious work.

I've tried recently to get in touch with the moderator at WikiMedia who banned the sites, but I've had no luck because he is not particularly active nowadays. It seems nearly impossible to get a ban lifted because there is nobody who is active.

Does anyone have any ideas as to who to speak to, or how to do it?

Can anyone here get the client removed from the blacklist?

same issue here. anyone knows the best approach for removing a site from wikipedia blacklist?

While I have never heard of anyone getting removed from the MediaWiki spam blacklist, what if you bought a completely new domain only to place a 301 redirect to your domain once the link is live on Wikipedia? I assume the content on your site is good enough today that Wikipedia won't just remove it.
