I am doing dropshipping and I would like to do an automation so I am planning to remove all existing products which is around 2000+. If I remove everything will my site get penalty? What is the safest method to do?

Can anyone help me on this?

I have quite a new site, about 9 months old. I was originally selling sex toys but only had one sale in about 5 months so I switched niche, put my site in maintenance mode for 5 days, cleared everything out and uploaded the new products THEN the supplier of the new products I was selling kept putting their prices up, it turned out cheaper to buy them off eBay rather than wholesale so I found another supplier. This time I uploaded a few hundred of the new products and then removed a few hundred of the old products.

My position is slowly moving up the rankings as I'm having to re do the SEO but I'm a lot higher than I was 4 months ago.

I don't think it hurt me but Google etc seem to have one rule for one and one rule for another.

Yes, it will get affected, but all you can do is, add valuable content to the site, build natural links, and feed fresh and engaging content to google, start blogging on the website it will help, and rankings will improve again for sure.

Yes, It will affect your site. some ways available, but every method has both advantage and disadvantage. here are methods and things affect your website
1) Leave the page and remove add cart option but Visitors may be frustrated when they land on your page because they can’t actually buy the product.
2)Delete the product entirely but Most people will leave immediately if they don’t see what they expect when they hit your site. The old product pages returning 404 errors will start to drop out of the rankings. You lose image rankings as those are no longer available either.
3)Redirect it but It can get difficult to manage if you have a large catalog. It can get especially difficult if your products are in multiple categories and there are no easy rules to define where to redirect a product to.
