Removing a site off Google

There is a site badmouthing (falsely I should mention) one of my products and is appearing #2 on Google for some reason which I have no idea why.

It is probably killing sales. How do I kick it off Google? It is for one of my site's main keywords (The site name).

Ideas?

Depending on how competitive your term is, you can build lots of web 2.0 properties or articles and get them to rank higher than the other site.

Popular web 2.0 properties.

Blogger, Squidoo, Xanga, Typepad, Hubpages, etc.

Build 10 of them with solid on page SEO for the keyword and build some good links to them. Depending on how difficult the keyword is it should do the trick.

yea u cant really get it kicked off. You could make it drop in rankings with a possible sandbox (which could backfire) or by building up web 2.0 properties to knock it down the list
