Removing 404 pages from google

You could use google webmaster stools remove url function.
How would I even get the list of 404's out of the pages indexed in google?

Ok on what is your website running? Any cms? Totally hand coded? Answer to these questions and i'll try to help. And generally it is best to have a custom 404 error page. You can do it 2 ways create a custom page which has options to go back, to go to the home page and stuff.. Make that page interesting.. Another way would be to show you're unfortunately landed on a wrong page stuff give them a option to go back, home page if not clicked within 10 or seconds automatically redirect to the home page..
Yes, I currently have a custom 404 page that has a button to go to the home page, but these 404's are still hurting my earnings. The website does have CMS and is running on laravel.
