Hey everyone, I just got this theme from newwpthemes.com and I would like to remove the footer links from the theme. This is something I have done quite a few times before and it usually just involves decoding some base64 and alterting the outputted text. However, in this theme, there doesn't seem to be any encryption but I don't know enough about coding to figure out what parts of the code to modify in order to remove the links. If someone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

    Link to the theme:

    Functions.php

    Footer.php

    Header.php

    Thanks in advance!

Ya, that's what I want to remove. But I have to modify the code in functions.php so that the theme doesn't stop functioning after removing that line.

Thanks for the reply, but when I remove line 164 from functions.php I get this error:

"All the links in the footer should remain intact. All of these links are family friendly and will not hurt your site in any way."

Is the functions the area that sets the script to act up in the footer. What does this code normally look like small brat so I have an idea what to play around with.

Step1: At line 176 in functions.php (in my theme) OR find "function wp_initialize_the_theme_finish" in functions.php where it says:

    change:

    to:

Step 2: At line 9 in footer.php where it says:

    change:

    to:

    _____________________________________________________________

This is the simplest method that I found, yet.

Having a completely blank footer is not working. So, I am still looking for a complete removal of this footer.
