Remove the SIG from the Introduction section

All signatures should be removed from the Introduction section as they have been removed from appearing under the Marketplace section.

This should reduce the spam by a large margin.




So what they do is that they use these keywords that are underlined in hopes that people who need SEO services would use the search bar and these posts pop up.

At the same time, the actual culprit has greeted the "newcomer" inside their Welcome thread and the culprit has SEO services in their signature so they are waiting to turn these "leads" into their actual customers.. this is what has caused the massive amount of spam.

So the signatures should be removed and so the website link from the right side (if possible).

Should be an easy fix.

It's what I first thought too but it's not the case.

That's an interesting point to disable signatures in the introductions section. we'll discuss this in our next meeting. I'll update this thread with an answer once we have one.

As for the other problem you brought up, we do clean those posts up if a newbie comes on and starts getting self-promotional. Just report them if you feel like they got carried away with the introduction and a moderator will review the issue.

I have an update for you on this.

Unfortunately, we cannot disable signatures in our introductions section due to a custom plugin we have that overrides the default Xenforo settings. I'm sorry it took so long to get you an update on this.
