Remove or keep spam comments?

Do you delete spam comments?

Apart from the above, people will think you relate to spammers because your account has spam comments. The old "tell me who you're with, and I'll tell you who you are".

Remove spam comments, they don't help you in any way and just attract more spam.
Some of my sites I have switched off comments altogether.
 
I can't stand these spammers, it's getting worse and worse everyday. I always delete and flag their accounts as spam as well.

Yeah annoying indeed. Weird though, when i report a comment from my phone i can still see the comment on the computer a few minutes later. I want to report them, but more so i want the comment gone.
 
If still growing you should just leave them there as most spammers double up with more.

Once established authority is created, delete all old pictures and constantly monitor activity.

Also delete comments that ignite rage or naughty forms of communication so flaggers / other conflict don't pop in.

I did notice when i started deleting, they were throwing new ones like there was no tomorrow. Nice insights, thanks for sharing!
