You can dump the database using mysqldump, make a copy of it as backup. Then on a text editor edit the .SQL dump to remove the links (find/replace), then recover the dump.

I've done this when switching site address, just substituted one domain name for the other in all posts on the .SQL dump.

    Hope this helps.

Sounds like he's got all sorts of domains though?

Unless he replaces ahref code but that would leave the raw URL ?

I've tried all the plugin but nothing works, I know the thing with the editor but it's huge db so it's not easy to upload it back.! it's 6gb database compressed, with 100kb upload speed I will need a week or so to import it again... any way to remove links through the phpmyadmin or via function.php?

Thought about using a broken link plugin? If you've got that amount of pages you'll have a done of dead links and the plugins will bin them off

Least reduce your work load anyway

no but I have an idea, if I can somehow disable the internet from the site so this plugin finds them all as broken links then I cam remove them all... well if I find a way to disable for some times the internet connection of the host...

If you install WordPress on your desktop and then kill your internet, should work, I think

    Solutions is :
Plugin named : Airplane Mode (Will stop any external connection)
Plugin named : Broken Link Checker (Will see all links as broken so you can remove them)

PS. You use only unlink (unlink the url from the text fields) So you can completly remove them.

Thanks to ThatSEO member that mention the second plugin.
