Remove Footer Links from newwpthemes

I got the solution to this problem as I was also experiencing the same problem. What you need to do are:
1) Install the same theme in another wordpress blog.
2) Open the two sites together (the new and the problematic redirected site)
3) Go to the Theme editor, and copy and paste(replace) the script under, header, footer, and theme function of the new one to the problematic site.
4) Save and refresh. Done!

First of all sorry for my bad english, i'm portuguese ^^.
I know that the topic is old, but i couldn't reply :)
I am a newbie in php and that things, but i resolve this problem.
First i went to functions.php and search "license" and i found that:

I deleted that code, and next i refresh my web site, and then i got a php error, with the line that have the error.
I wen to the document and i delete the problem.
Next more errors will appear and you have to delete those lines with the problems.
In the finish you will get an footer like you wish, changing the footer.php
Hope that may help you :)

Edit: i forgot to say that the problems only appear in header.php and functions.php, always do a backup!

I am still having some troubles removing the footer on my site. Everytime I remove it my slider stops working. Could you help me edit the code please?

It is not possible to remove footer in some themes,, but for such themes you can hide footer
 
Worked like a charm for me!

(Do not hide the .css footer file since it is bad for SEO.)

Best Solution:
Just in case, make a backup copy of your working theme files before editing.

First,
edit functions.php;
find the line starting with:

function wp_initialize_the_theme_finish() { $uri = strtolower($_SERVER["REQUEST_URI"]);

Second,
towards the end of this line, find:
wp_initialize_the_theme_message(); die;

remove this.

Finally,
sometimes there ae two lines of wp_initialize_the_theme_message(); die;

I deleted both of them.
After you have done this, you should be able to edit your footer links without getting a message.

This tip doesn't seem to work for their newer themes, they have probably changed the way the footer is encrypted. Can anyone help me with the decryption?

It's a theme Boating 2.2.
When I'm doing according to the instructions, administrator top bar disappears from the web. :/
Please help ;)
