I know there is a lot threads about this but i need help...pronto. i wanna start business on ebay selling art -mostly paintings worth 10.000eur+. What can i do to remove those selling limits so that i can start art business? My account is fairly new so that might be a problem, or if i provide them proof of identity, credit card etc.? I know that ebay is greedy and if they get 1000eur per sale maybe they'll let me. please serious answers only. thanks.

eBay lists on it's website what to do to remove limits. You can't really game that system.
And just because ebay might collect more money in fees on a $10,000 vs a $1000.00 item, that does not mean they will show favor to you.
Their primary concern is to protect the buyer, not the seller. And by protecting the buyer, they are indirectly protecting their pockets.

i know that. i guess you can raise the limits for let's say max. 1000 euros but is there even possible to sell expensive items without selling on ebay for 30 years. (there is many people who are there more than 10 years and still have those stupid limits) a lot of people suggest that you start selling "small" until you get some reputation but there's no point for that cause with 500$/month you wont get far...
Step 1) Verify your ID unless your paintings are fake. (And I hope if you're selling 10,000 paintings, they are not fake. You can get yourself in SERIOUS trouble.

Once you have a solid user name with a good track record you will have much more freedom. You don't have to Verify your ID unless you want to make the process faster. It is a slow process, for good reason. Again, to limit the amount of shady ass sellers.
I personally like the limits, why? Becuase I have none I can setup a new account in a new niche, link it to my long standing account and bam, I'm unlimited.
Why is this good for me? I have an advantage over shady ass sellers who just want to get in and make a quick buck. It's growing increasingly hard for them to do that, thank you ebay

In the US, yo get ID verified you submit your SSN and I think your DL (may have to fax) I'm not sure how it is in the US.
None of my accounts have been ID verified, I got grandfathered in by having old accounts.

Well, seeing how I no longer sell crap and all of my accounts are in great standing I'm not worried about being suspended for no reason. Contrary to popular belief, ebay won't just arbitrarily limit you for "nothing" thing is always a reason. Granted, sometimes the reason may not make sense to the seller, and if this happens and the seller honestly was not doing anything wrong, or so they thought.. these suspensions can be fixed by simply chatting with or calling ebay's CS.

If you business is legit, you have nothing to worry about, simply as that.
