Hi there,

got some Deleted Pages on My Blog (404 Page within Searc results). How can I remove them from the Index?

Also it seems I have trouble with Redirects. One Post for example "Chicken Soup" was posted with the URL /best-chicken-soup which I changed later to /chicken-soup. Now both Display on Google while /best-chicken-soup is redirecting to /chicken-soup. How can I remove the Dublicate?

Redirect all those deleted pages to the main domain page with a 301 and then remove them from Search Console

Search Console > Dashboard > Google Index > Remove URLS

Regarding those both duplicated pages I’d let google take care of that, that may be an automatic WP redirection so sooner or later Google will remove the redirected one.

Maybe I remove the 404 url through the robots.txt Maybe the dublicate too. Do you think that will lead to issues?
