Hello, recently started working with a client who has a 1.4 star rating on GMB. Reason being is that the client accidently pissed off a feminism cult and all the members went into his GMB and gave him bad reviews.

This has taken almost a fatal blow to my clients business and now he askes me what we should do about it.

My thoughts on how to solve this:
Method 1: New GMB listing
1. Change the name, number & adress of the existing GMB listing
2. Submit a new a brand listing with all the right details

Method 2: Buying Reviews & Installing a review generating system for him
1. Buy a butt loads of positive reviews ( but where do i do this? and how big is the risk? )
2. Install a review generating system with for example a 5 usd discount if you submit a review etc .

Has anyone done this previously? If so, please give me a reply. It would be massivly appreciated

Were the bad reviews personal remarks or actually criticizing the service/product?

If I were you, I'd buy a lot more of fake 5 star reviews to cover it up.
Encourage your client's customers to leave reviews on the spot to get X discount.

With that said, GMB is so seriously flawed.

The risk of the fake reviews is other people can spot them, then call you out so make sure that you get a dam good provider.

The reviews came from a accident where he refused to let a shemale shower in the womens lockerroom and it got cought by a feminist cult who dropped 101 negative reviews the same day :P

Buy shitload of 5 star reviews.

I suggest you to GMB support community and bring this situation to them and most of the time they try to resolve this issue. But you can not expect any tips to get better ranking in Google :P

Go through the review policies. Since a lot of these reviews will be off-topic you can flag them. But since there are 144 negative reviews, it'll be a tedious process.

This should be easy to solve.

Flag all 101 reviews. Note to google that all of these 101 were left on the same day, and Google should take them down without a problem due to them "probably being fake"

Flagging doesn't work as fast as desired. I recommend opening a thread on GMB Support forum. The mods there are pretty responsive and if issue is indeed as describe will most likely remove the reviews. Also, the plan with changing, reverifying and renaming the location would work well too.

You can try flagging them first, and while you're at it, call them and complain about the issue to increase credibility and add some pressure to the person on the phone. If you're not comfortable with calling then send them an email, but it's preferable to solve the issue by phone.
