Can you guys give me some recommendations on the best free solutions to access my PC when I am travelling? I really don't feel like giving GoToMyPC $20 per month.

I'd be interested too, I can't seem to get a VPN working on my setup.

Also any tips for accessing the PC via android would be cool.

Not wishing to hijack your thread noobman, but I'd also like to ditch the office.

If you want to access it from your notebook you should try Teamviewer
i believe teamviewer requires a pass and ID, logmein, has free trials for the pro edition, no CC required, and when that expires you just go back to the regular free edition, its quite nice, i use it alot actually

Yeah logmein works great, and you have mobile apps for it. I know for the Iphone you have it, android i'm not sure though. Teamviewer you can use to access your pc remote all the time. The only thing you need is your ID, and you have to set a master password.

You can also install a Radmin Tool (Remote Administration Tool), but you have to watch spyware and other sh*t.

you can use : Team Viewer, pretty good and easy to use. A little bit slow

Team Viewer is best as far as i know easy to use and great connectivity always go for it

Thanks everyone, I'm going to give both TeamViewer and Logmein a good try, and see what happens

Just enable incoming requests from Remote Desktop, install a dyndns client and connect to your new hostname!
