Its been 11 years since I saw that live coverage of those planes hitting the twin towers of WTC, Pentagon and the crash at Pennsylvania.
Was then watching TV as an innocent 14 yr old kid but did not understand what that meant but now as a grown up individual I understand how tragic that incident was. My condolence to all those who lost their loved ones in the attacks or in the aftermath.

May the souls of all who died, Rest In Peace!

And God give some wisdom to the haters. Let peace prevail on Mother Earth!!

Seems like just yesterday. I remember I was asleep, and my cousin called me and said "oh my god, they blew up the twin towers!". At first I thought she was on that shit again, but then I got up and looked at the news..... That day was weird. There was like some quietness I can't really explain that day. anyways, here is a poem I wrote after that.

The Day The statue Of Liberty Cried

It was the day the statue of liberty cried
The day so many helpless americans died

It was the day the statue of liberty cried
The day that left thousands of kids wondering why?

Why they couldn't see their parents again?
And why they couldn't be with them?

The day the statue of liberty cried we all cried too
cause when she cried, she cried for me and you

God Bless America

Everyone has some memories attached with that day. Even being from India and was just a kid then, I still remember what I was doing that day. It was something that shook the whole world. it indeed was real big. Welcoming all members to share what they were upto when they came to know about this tragedy.

I remember something real sad after that. The neighborhood I live in and have lived in my whole life, is nowhere near the best of neighborhoods. There was this real nice owner of the corner store down the street from my house, and some ignorant assholes decided to kill him because of his race (even though he was not even from Afghanistan, and had lived here most of his adult life) He was the nicest person in the whole neighborhood, and always helped people out. And I know this happened alot after 911, so not only do I remember our fallen americans, I also remember the fallen foreigners aswell.

Wow years go by so fast RIP to those whom lost there lives in the tragedy that was 9/11. Damn, we will never forget...

A tragic loss of life. Please no-one hijack this thread with conspiracy theories, it is not the time or the place.

RIP all those who died. I will never forget those events. The world stood still in horror that day. Close friends and family were affected, but luckily not there. Still brings tears to my eyes when I look back on it.

I was also in 8th or 9th and my exam were going on. I was this on television but it is still fresh in memories.

I remember wakeing up to a text of my mum saying watch the news, the images I see were disturbing and made me fill sick! It wasn't just Americans that lost there familys that day but people from all over the world. GOD REST THERE SOULS!! each and every one of them.

Edit: To all the conspiracy threaks out there! There are 365 days in a year, keep your thought's to your self for this one day and let the lost ones havethe day of rememberance!

I have my concerns with both parties that were involved that day. However, the loss of innocent life is tragic in every circumstance. To think that most of us forget about this all year for the past 11 years but the families that lost loved ones would still be grieving for their loved ones. I can not begin to imagine the feeling of losing someone close to me in this way.

I can't believe that 11 years have passed already. This time is going on insane speed.

War is most awful think which could happen to the people. Innocent people are dying each day all over the world because of fucking war. I do know and still think that USA have shit gov, which is trying to affect on whole world, just like Hitler wanted with Europe, but even worse. But civilians are not guilty for anything, and that's not the way to show somebody anything.
It's similar thing as a war in Yugoslavia. Thousands of innocent civilians dyed, and guess what, fucking leaders are now enjoying in luxury prisons in Den Hag. Well fuck this world.

Watching the events unfold live really affected me quite a bit. May the people who perished there prematurely rest in peace.

i was in 5th grade and i didn't knew wht was happening all my friends were talking abt it, it just seems like yesterday!
