I just spent a week or longer basically rewriting content for one of my sites which I re-made on a new domain due to penalty.
Now I read "just delete the old content from Google's index" (using webmaster tools) in another thread and I am DUMBFOUNDED that this never ever crossed my mind!!
So basically...since we have the option to delete an entire site from the index...it means we can remake a site on a new domain...USING THE SAME CONTENT without the need of rewriting or supplying new content?
Has anyone ever done that to recover a site on a new domain WITHOUT writing all the content new but simply deleting all the old content using webmaster tools? (To avoid dupe penalty, obviously.)
If this works this would be a TREMENDOUS time saver since once all the content is out of the index I can clone an existing site in like 5 minutes...and NOT waste weeks/months to write new content afterwards???
