I have been doing research the past 24 hours to find the best solution to remain completely anonymous, and I've found dozens of different methods and ways to accomplish this, however I'd say only a handful are actually anonymous and I want to figure it out with some help what the best route is. As this is a highly talked about subject, the threads I read are filled with HORRIBLE suggestions for VPN providers and bad information that wont keep you truly safe.

So one of the steps required would be to have a VPS server, preferably offshore, however the VPS you have is the not where your anonymity comes in so, really any decent vps will do, use false info, pay vcc , paypal or some other way.

Then next you have to get a VPN and have that running on the VPS server. Theres two ways to go about this, you can either buy a paid VPS or make one.

So you buy a paid VPN, as we all know recently, HMA and a few others are now known to keep logs and they will co-operate with a court order if requested. So if your buying a VPN it has to be one that doesnt keep, logs.

So right now Im stilling looking for a VPN that doesnt keep logs, I have a couple in mind, BT guard, privateVPN, But i dont know if theyre trustable yet, looking for feedback.

So you setup the VPS, setup the VPN, OK.....your still not anywhere near safe yet UNLESS you believe that your VPN will actually not keep logs. BUT NEVER RELY ON what someone else says, so to be safe i need to assume that my VPN will reveal my logs if confronted with a court order. So I have my VPS with a VPN, I need to know be able to add another layer of security between me connecting to the VPS and the another connecting the VPS to the VPN.

So connecting my desktop to the VPS anonymously can be done with proxies, that would add another layer of security, or run a completely seperate VPN on your desktop and have that connect to your VPS, then once on the VPS, have that load up Its own VPN.

So we have My computer...going through a Proxy or VPN that I have running on my actual PC, thats layer 1 of protection, I then connect to my VPS, with my PC going through the proxies or VPN. Right now Im on my VPS and the VPS sees my connection IP as the one provided by my Proxy or VPN hosted on my computer. Then on my VPS server I open up my VPN, which MUST be different then the first one im using on my Home PC. Both VPNs must not logs information.

So right now we're pretty secure...It goes ... My IP --> through my VPN on my desktop --> connect then to my VPS server, preferably offshore, --> Then load VPN on VPS.

This still doesn't seem secure enough, (if you think this does keep you safe enough, you're sorely mistaken) I know most of you dont/wont have the money to do this, well I'm not looking for your help then, I'm looking for people serious about keeping the privacy safe. If you have nothing positive to add to this please dont respond, Dont worry about why I need to this, or why anyone does, either you're interested in stay annoymous or you can continue what your doing thinking your anonymous, when in reality, you're not, and everything you do can and COULD be traced back to your little desktop PC.

I would like one more link of security maybe between MY IP and connecting to the VPN on my desktop. That would give 4 layers of security, 2 VPNs that dont keep logs, 1 offshore VPS server, but the last layer I cant figure out, and Im still trying to figure out if its doable without.

So my question is to those serious about there privacy, What are your thoughts on remaining anonymous and my planned setup. What setup would make you feel 100% safe, what companies have reputations for never revealing logs, VPN, VPS reco***ations welcome.

Trusting a random-ass VPN company (who probably care about nothing other then making money and protecting there asses) to keep your logs private is FOOLISH, and you should not trust anything just because they say they dont keep logs.

When money is involved, especially digital transactions, anonymity does not exist.

Worry about unseen third-party networks listening into VPNs, watching tunnels, and keeping logs. Don't worry about the VPN itself.

Know what I would do if I wanted to track people? : I'd start a VPN that states it doesn't keep logs (I'd just keep an open stream).

Now, for what you're probably doing, you don't need complete anonymity. I don't see you intending to break the law, so just do what you're planning and buy a bunch of VPNs/VPS/Dedi/IPs and bounce connections around. No need for pageantry.

Its not about needing anything, I want it, I feel i need it, and I want to set it up, I understand that Everything can be traced, but I want to make it so Hard that no one would ever be able to.

If a subponia got requested to your 4th layer of security VPN, they would then give the feds your info, then that would lead back to your VPS, your 3rd layer of security, then they would give the feds info, that would lead then to your first VPN, your second layer of security, and if they gave the feds your info that would lead back to your first layer, ( which i havnt figured out yet, im reading on SSH right now, still confused) So I need to be able to connect to my first VPN through a private proxy server or something, which would be a Zombie computer that they would never be able to trace back to you, and you could always blame it on a virus on your computer for the connection.

but anyways..... the odds of the anyone getting information from 3 different out of country companies is highly unlikely, i think just one more layer would solidify that.

Well I think what Im doing goes very deep, what can you suggest to get it very very very deep.

I found this information in another thread, this guy knows what his talking about, however, I want a solution thats deep and that doesnt require having to leave my house.

Here's the thing about staying completely anonymous - you would need to disconnect yourself from the grid that are already apart of; every site you've ever logged into and every system you've ever used contains a bit of what we call your online identity and there is very little you can do to avoid it for even if you try and separate yourself from it running into it again will just make your new IP or data part of your Identity. After studying this for a few years I began to find that many data agencies have simple work arounds for high anonymity proxies, networks, tors, etc. It used to be a common myth that behind a series of proxies you'd be safe, but people forget online records, NIC numbers, purchase numbers, and other identifiers. Here is the only method I have been able to develop that allows you to be perfectly cloaked - and even then it is not advisable that you re-use this method without re-starting.

1. Buy a cheap mini-laptop. Do NOT use any payment method other than cash.

2. Remove the hard-drive and onboard NIC card (as it contains a MAC address often filed with your registry purchase number)

3. Get any form of Linux Live CD (this will run from your RAM and the CD)

4. Get an external USB Wifi device to connect to the internet. Do NOT use any payment method other than cash. Otherwise you risk sales numbers (often attached to manufacture numbers which are in-turn attached to NIC numbers) being attached to your name in someway.

5. Go to a coffee shop with FREE public wifi.

6. Remain outside the place so that there is no visual records of your entry.

7. If you are doing something highly illegal which I do not condone or support then I would suggest this location to be at least an hour away from your location and you should not spend more than 15 minutes in that location.

8. Do NOT log into any account you have ever made, do NOT go to any site you own, basically make no interactions with your real self.

9. Turn off computer. All on board records are gone.

10. Destroy external USB device - NIC numbers can only be spoofed not changed that is the only remaining link.

11. (optional) you may destroy the laptop if you wish - do not make a sale of a laptop in this state as that is creating a record of who owned it once it changed hands

Now with that method I suggest you could register the domain, and the host, getting the payment to them is tricky. Your best bet would be to (and I dont codone this due to the illegal nature of it) use a fake alias to register a pre-paid visa card purcahsed at walmart (USING CASH) and registered with your new fake MAC and IP. Make the payments burn the card. Never log on the account again.

Please Note: I do not condone, support, encourage, or hope to show individuals way to mask, commit, better, or in anyway support any form of illegal action. The matters of hiding ones identity I have placed here for educational purposes only, in an attempt to give individuals a right to privacy that they are entitled to in most countries. The actions carried out by members of BHW or any other place this tutorial may end up are strictly and fully their responsibility alone it is in the sole discretion of the individual how they use such actions.

How can you remain anonymous!

When I know who you are :cheerlead

Predator VPN is pretty good and they don't keep logs.
VPNReactor is also good too, don't use HMA or anything too mainstream.

Use the VPN on your home computer, then connect to offshore VPS.
If you wana be a real bad ass just sit outside a Mc Donalds and use their free WiFi ;)

That would actually work pretty good, if you used a VPN to a VPS to a VPN all connected through a McDonalds wifi.

But what I am looking to do in a sense is, replace going to McDonalds to use there wifi with an additional layer of security.

I also understand that everyone computer has a digital footprint, and built in address and ways to track it. So in a sense, the only way to remain completely anonymous would be to use a brand new computer that you never logged into any of your personal stuff and paid for in cash as that way it would have a new footprint and no connection to anything you've ever been on.

But, buying a brand new computer and trashing it after you're done is extreme and I dont need to go to that extent. But I want to have the same type of security as buying a brand new computer, using public wifi and then throwing it in the lake afterwards.

You could use liberte linux, OS its very small and you can boot from it on a USB stick. Comes encrypted and has differnt options to boot and clear files etc.

What happens at the router stays at the router!

If you download and install software then its a different story, because the software/browser can send any data it feels like.

Anonymity is possible with a computer AND with moneiz. Not to sound like a dick but a 24-hour search, no matter how thorough, won't probably yield to all the possible ways to do that. But yeah, it's totally, unequivocally and ultimately possible. ;)

Get a high range satellite dish and use it to steal someone's wifi from another area.

Use a MAC address spoofer.

Use an os that only has one browser ( make your own )

Use the 3 layers of proxies.

Enjoy stealing and selling cc info etc.

What in the world could you be doing that warrants such a secure connection... Oh wait... It's a BH forum. =P

Some tips and pointers:

1) Pick a reputable VPN that dosen't keep logs. My personal favorite: AirVPN - You could even configure some routers to send traffic through a VPN!
2) In the case that it ever does trace back to your VPN, don't use your actual info on the payment page and pay with a VCC. Some providers, like AirVPN, let you pay with bitcoins lolz.
3) In the case that you do want the extra layer of security and chose to get a VPS, use rule 1. Make sure it dosen't keep logs.
4) Stay safe. Don't do anything stupid.

Hope that helps!

MAC is a very overrated parameter, but OK free apps everywhere to spoof that. Computer "footprints" whatever that might mean, are very easy to fake / decoy from the very bottom of the network stack. Since the early appearance of IDS and nmap -O someone else created loadable kernel modules to emulate other stacks and send custom / arbitrary syn ack ip flags behaviors -the whole 9- go figure and this is ALL irrelevant for most ppl in order to pursue anonymity online... Do you really think that if you just use a starbucks coffee wifi from somewhere using tor ANY-fucking-BODY will EVER be able to trace you back unless you go there every day at the same time? Yeah there are THEORETICAL exploits of the LAST node blah blah blah, if you did your due diligence you should know by now how feasible they really are IRL... And of course, as someone correctly suggested, buying a "service" will never give you any peace of mind since you can't know who runs that.. Maybe avoiding using gmail or fb in your own real name while going super hax0r helps though lol :)

Amazing information some of you have provided. I dont plan on using a high freq satellite dish to steal wifi or buying new computers every time i do something Blackhat, But just knowing this gives me a broader outlook on the possibilities for future endevours.

I looked up this http://www.technitium.com/tmac/index.html , its a MAC spoofer, that in combination with the VPN to VPS to VPN connection would be good.

I think the best route till i learn some more technical stuff, ( i took at look at truecrypt, seems a little hard to use) is to go:

My PC -> MAC spoofer on Desktop -> First level security(still trying to figure out a good option) -> Connect to VPN -> Remote connect to VPS -> Launch VPN on VPS.

Thats a 5 tier security setup, now granted theres always a way for people to find you, but dont you think that'd make it damn hard. Should be good to do pretty much anything aside from stealing ccs or really bad stuff.

What do you think I should Use On my Desktop to connect to the first VPN though? Proxys, proxy firewall, public, private?
