I never understand comments like this, it's not like the EU is ''one country'' with the one and the same culture. Nothern/Western Europe is where the money is made (UK/BeNeLux/Scandaniva/Germany/France), Southern Europe is where said money goes to, but whatever it's a nice place to have a second home I guess because of the weather, the landscape and the girls.

Eastern Europe, I'd advice against going there. Some places (and women ) are truly beautiful, but generally speaking there is some serious poverty there and jobs are hard to come by.

This is just my experience so take it with a grain of salt. Compared to the US, Western Europe is small with most countries being smaller than most US states. Add to that a common currency; fast, easy and cheap transport in between countries; little/no passport control between countries and the fact that in most places Americans visit locals speak English and some people forget that the EU is actually multiple countries. I shouldn't say forget but the lines become blurred. For people who can fly for hours without leaving the country it's hard to imagine that you can cross multiple countries by train in the same time.

People who travel frequently get it but people who don't just consider it "Europe". I used to be that way. When I first moved to Switzerland I had little idea about European geography. My European friends made fun of me for it until I asked them if they knew the names and locations of all 50 US states.

US economy,politics,crime,could be heading towards more challenges.

If I was young I'd consider Spain, Costa Rica, anywhere but here.

#1 - The black guy is only half black.
#2 - The British were here and then the natives took it over is inaccurate on several points.
a) The natives never took it over
b) It is a melting pot of many different nations, one of which is the United States.
#3 - there is no gun in my home and we feel and are plenty safe.

I could go on and on but I'll leave it at that.

Knocking another country is in real bad taste and makes you look bad.
