Hi guys. I'm in need of a reliable hosting service. My projects aren't that complex and don't require fancy hosting, so I'm fine with low budget hosting, as long as it's reliable.
Unfortunately most of the threads in here are about cheap hosting, which isn't quite what I'm looking for. I thought about Arvixe, because the pricing was good, but after reading through a couple of threads in here, I'm not quite sure about it anymore. A lot of people are complaining about them, especially about their uptime and their support.
Reliability and decent support is important for me, so I'm looking for a decent hosting service that doesn't cost too much.

Any suggestions?

I know some name like Godaddy, Host gator,Host nine, Site 5 Blue host etc. You can check all this.

Yeah I know the names myself. It's not that I don't know how to find hosting services, but how to tell which one is reliable even though the prices are cheap, or at least not that expensive.

servinio.com

Have you had good experience with them or how come you're recommending them?

I'm using servinio and arvixe and never had any problem.
You can check bhw hosting marketplace for some cheap and trusted hostings from bhw members.

best hosting would be buy A vps with 512 mb ram and host your website on it.
I am doing this for all my sites and it is costing me only 18$ for a year for hosting 4-5 sites

For reliable support you will use godady

That's what I thought about, too. Go with the bigger companies for improved reliability. It's actually stunning how many people are recommending Arvixe in this thread and if you use the forum search there are quite a couple of threads telling you to never go with Arvixe, because it's supposedly the worst hosting company on the face of the earth haha

I have personally tried Hostgator and it is good. I never faced downtime and the price is also affordable. I discontinued the hosting as I got busy with other online ventures but will go for Hostgator only in future as well. Another good option can be Bluehost, my friends have tried it.

I totally forgot to mention that I might also need domain privacy for a couple of future projects. That's actually one of the reasons why I thought about Arvixe in the first place, because someone recommended it to me, because they seem to be offering that for free?

What do you guys think about iPage? Heard plenty of good things about it and they offer domain privacy.

Go daddy is ok with domain but hosting hell no never.

You mean just register my domain with namecheap or get their hosting, too?

And again, what do you guys think of iPage? I might try them out if nobody has anything extremely bad to say about them.

We're currently using Eleven2 hosting which is $50/year, and there's fairly complex site with few databases, and 30-50k visits per month. We're really satisfied for now how it all works.
Recently we also purchased VPS on linode.com for $20 per month with following specifications:

1 GB RAM,8 CPU (1x priority),48 GB Storage,2 TB Transfer

Site we have there works ultra-fast.

4goodhosting.com is reliable and their servers are stable.
You may try them to meet all your needs.
Their rep is high and stainless.

OP as few guys recommended Godaddy which is no more reliable

Try hostwind or justhost as im using them and didnt had any issue till now

Thanks

I vouch for ifastnet.com. They provide hosting at 3.99$ per month where you can host 21 sites with 250 GB traffic. Which is huge. It is cheap too.
