We're a small UK web agency looking to build up a stable of reliable freelancers. We are mainly developing using Wordpress, so ideally we want people with extensive Wordpress experience. - Excellent HTML, CSS and Javascript skills (not just jQuery) (HTML5/CSS3)
- Experience of developing cross-browser compatible code and knowledge of cross-browser bugs and inconsistencies
- Progressive Enhancement/Graceful Degradation For Old Browsers/Displays
- Working with Web Fonts
- Mobile Web Development
- Knowledge of developing interfaces for mobile & Tablets
- Experience with RWD (Responsive Web Design) techniques (would like to see example sites)
- Good knowledge of working with Photoshop
- Good understanding of SEO and how that factors into development
- Microdata & Schema.org
- Good understanding of Web Accessibility
- Appreciation for Developing with Website Speed/Performance in Mind
- Knowledge of HTML Email best practice
- Experience of AJAX techniques
- Ability to create quick mock-ups/prototypes
- Knowledge of Wordpress and understanding of PHP
