Relevance backlink ?

Is relevance backlink that important ?

Ok, first I want to ask, if I imagine it right, google give rankings to sites using some kind of points, since I don't know programming, I don't understand how it works.The site that have more points get better ranking, am I correct ?

A pr0 page that have the keyword in the title and body and linking back to me

VS

A pr4 page that doesn't have the keyword in the title and body and linking back to me.

The first would be more relevance but less pr.

What's better backlink, how google weight them ?

i very relevant backlink even on a pr 0 page is worth a none relevant pr 3 for a "term" the pr 3 is better for page rank overall though.

PR is just an arbitrary number to signify how much google trusts that page, if you really want to see how much a page's links are worth then check the age of the page in the rankings and how many links are incoming, also take into consideration the age, relevancy and links leading to that site.

Sadly I don't think it would be easy to say which would be best as the whole algorithm is massively recursive and depends on so many factors, but just as a guess I would say relevancy all the way as it tells google what is at the other end of the link.

Lots of pages with lots of traffic and good rankings have very low PRs. Just try to think of PR as more a trust value of the site rather than ranking ability of the site.

I imagine if I get a backlink from pr4 and that page have my keyword in title, and if I get anchor keyword link, this should be the most valuable link ever.

Am I correct, seo expert please confirm.
