Related to promoting promo codes

When someone signs up for a website's or platform's referral program, then that person gets some (referral) promo codes to give to others for example to sign up for 1 month free. After that free 1 month, if the person who signed up with the given promo code goes for a paid plan, then the referrer gets his referral commission and infact keeps getting a commission as long as that person is paying for a paid plan.

This is affiliate marketing by way of referrals.

BHW rules do not allow promoting affiliate marketing links.

However, it is allowed to promote referral promo codes, which also results in referral (affiliate) commissions.

Example : https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/get-vidiq-free-one-month.1387432/ in Youtube section.

Would it make sense also restricting the promotion of referral promo codes ?
Considering that all promo codes are always given only as part of a referral program of a website or platform.
On the other hand if offering promo codes continues to be allowed, then I guess members who can do even a basic 2 minutes reverse engineering, can sell without being Jr.VIP.

Sign up for various referral programs (costs nothing), and distribute promo codes for in BHW threads which appears like a review.
Promo codes for 1st month free would work the best, because the OP will get away "OP is not selling" and / or "There is no proof that the OP is the one who has signed up for the referral program and got the promo code".

Something not being explicitly mentioned does not mean it's allowed.

In regards to referral codes, they do fall under the same category as referral links and affiliate links. In other words, they aren't allowed under rule 4 ,and anyone caught doing so would receive an infraction.
