Related posts in wordpress theme are ok?

I'm using since years the "related posts" functions in my wordpress websites. Today I noticed that every time I refresh the page the related posts change, is this good for seo? I tried some plugin, but did the same, every time you refresh the page the related posts change.

Related posts should be, well... related to the post.

If they attract visitors and keep them browsing on your website, it will definitely help your SEO.
They don’t have to be static, but avoid using random posts without any connection to the main content.

It’s just the 'algorithm' switching up posts with each refresh, there is nothing unusual there. You can find plugins with a "stick" option if you want to keep certain posts constant. But keep in mind, sticking a couple of older posts can sometimes limit exposure for new ones, so it’s good to find a balance.

For SEO, honestly, any impact is tiny, maybe 0.1%, so don’t stress too much about it. Just make sure the related posts are relevant to what people are reading.

If you’re just starting out, I suggest sticking with 2 related posts as you might not even have enough content for 3 or 4.

Once you’ve got around 10 articles in each category (x10), go for 3 related posts.

This is all just if you're worried about SEO, mostly to play it safe.

When you refresh the page and the related posts change, there’s no harm in it and it may even better for SEO. Just make sure the posts stay relevant to keep your internal links strong. A plugin as "Contextual Related Posts" can help by letting you set relevance rules.

I think that's okay, at least it can help reduce the bounce rate if your visitors find your related posts interesting too

Even nowadays I still see big news sites still have related post feature that look the same at the bottom of the page

Related post is not bad for SEO because it was related your site. if it was attracted means the visitors keep browsing on your site. but note one point, don't make post like unnecessary or unconnected to your site content.
