Rel Author No Longer Showing Up

I've been doing well using rel=author on my affiliate sites to boost clickthrough. Fake profiles of course

This morning two of my sites no longer have the profile shot showing up in the SERPS.

Any one know how to get around this? As a long shot I am thinking of changing the google plus profile to a new profile to see if that works.
