It would be useful if a report is rejected, that the notification includes the username of the admin/mod rejecting the report.

I've had this a number of times before where I would want to contact the admin/mod in question, but I'm unable to do so because I don't know who to contact.

The other thing, and this is a bit of a sideline issue, is that I've reported the same individual twice recently for the same thing. I didn't receive a notification rejecting the report the first time, however I did receive the following the second time "Where it’s been rejected once please don’t repost without additional info". Clearly I wouldn't have made the second report if I'd received the first notification.

Some moderators and admins do sign off their reports (e.g., User has been issued an infraction ~Zwielicht), but this is currently optional. Making it mandatory would add to a moderator's workload considerably, as I can tell you from first-hand experience back when I signed off on all of my resolution and rejection notices. Aside from that, reports are a team effort.

Regarding who to contact, if you do have a question regarding the status of a report you sent in, you can contact any moderator about it since every full moderator and above has access to the reports section and can tell you why a report was rejected. However, please keep in mind that resolution and rejection report decisions, much like BST mod reviews, are not up for debate. On the other hand, if you'd like any clarification on the rules so that you may send in more accurate reports, that's perfectly acceptable and you're more than welcome to contact a moderator about it.

You mentioned in your forum suggestions and feedback thread from 2018 that you have indeed resubmitted reports after receiving a rejection notification so that they may be "looked at again".
Over the last week or so, I've had some reports rejected and I've ended up resubmitting them to be looked at again.
