Since you have to pay to keep your whois protected i was wondering if anyone of you ever entered some fake name /data while registering the domain and how it turned out for you? :)

That's what I've done, because my mentor suggested it. It has been no problem for him.

I don't think that using Fake name is going to create any problem. Just make sure you add a working email ID, in case someone steals your domain, you can prove your ownership using that email ID.

I have used a fake name for registering domains and it shows up on WHOIS as the fake name, no problems, hope this helps:)

Yup you can use fake names with no problem, you need a working email tho.

Not all registrars makes you pay for whois privacy, namesilo and internet.bs to name a few.
Goduddy wants $7.99 for privacy is reason why I'm transferring all mine over to the two aforementioned.
