Registering a '.us' domain? (Non-us resident)

I want to register a '.us' domain but I'm not a USA resident. Can I get around this? Or it's pretty much impossible?

yes u can simple do that with fake info but u can,t hide ur whois info

If you don't live in America, the only legal way you can register .US domains is to establish a "significant" business presence inside the US. One way would be to set up a US corporation which would hold the domains.
You can set up a legitimate US LLC or corporation for anywhere from $100 to $500.

Setting up a legitimate corporation is actually a LOT easier than you'd expect.
Granted there is a fair bit of paperwork, it can be worth it.
 
Im not from US I registered .us domain from namecheap without a problem.
 
Thats bull.

I have .US domain, and i dont needed to have any US connections.
Just used my regular registrar and got it. US domain cost 10 Euros per year.

And my local Swedish registrar uses this registrar for .US domains: joker.com

Luckily the '.net' version of the domain is available too but I wanted it to be '.us' since I'm targeting the USA audience.

I quit buying them since I never had any luck ranking them and they cost more. com/net/org seem much easier to get ranked.
 
you should easily be able to buy .us from outside the us. Id go with a .com net org
