I am new to the whole domain business. But I found a PR5 and wondering if that high of a PR is good enough alone. I think it also has a pretty marketable name but just on the PR what do you guys think. Also how is a PR5 possible with little to no backlinks?

If the domain was ever redirected to another PR5 domain, it will retain that PR, thus a fake PR. An easy way to test this is to see what backlinks are indexed on Google and Yahoo!

Even if the PR is real, when you buy the domain and it is transfered to your account, google will delete the PR of the domain cause it will see that you are new owner of the domain.

recently got a pr 6 domain with no backlinks indexed...but is listed in Dmoz...i am registered owner of teh domain....
I still dont see it loose its page rank removed...

I second that!

It's got 14 backlinks on yahoo and not registered in DMOZ.

Maybe the PR is fake. Check it before you buy it man ..

Yeah like the above poster says check so the PR isnt fake. To be honest though PR doesn't really mean anything. I have several times ranked brand new domains with no PR on first page for very very competitive keywords.

Also if the domain has very little low quality backlinks then it will most most likely lose its PR rank once Big G updates the PR (if they ever will? :S ).

Good luck man!

Thanks guys...i decided not to go with it...although I think it could be a site to put up links to body building and the sorts....it was miraclegains. I ended up going with fastandfurious5, maclarenquest, and ageofempiresII. Hopefully I can do something with them. Any suggestions would be great.

I brought a mobile domain. The .c is listed as Premium Domain for $8500
How much can i get if i s.e.ll it?
