Registering a new domain name post penguin: 1 year vs 2 years?

Hi all, I always register domain names for at least 2 years, but now since the Penguin update I was just wondering if there is any difference in terms of SEO, if I register a new domain name 1 year as opposed to 2?

I figure there will be not much point registering a new domain for 2 years due to these updates, but if it did help in terms of ranking better, then I will consider it. Anyone have any experience with this?

No one can say some thing for sure about this point. But for me I register for 1 year.
