I want to do blackhat and normal SEO experiments, but dont want it tied to my name. I dont want to go through something like GoDaddy privacy, because that is not really private at all. I know how to handle uploads and things anonymously... but I can't get past the domain registration part. I'm looking for the safest way to register a domain so that it has no connection to me. (I don't plan to make money from the domain.)

Just get a prepaid card from the store(cash). Register the prepaid card using made up name and information. Use the card to register the domain with that card using the same made up name and information

Looking for something a little more secure. That is only a tiny step up from godaddy. Thanks though.

It doesn't sound like you'll do anything that requires absolute privacy (i.e privacy from higher authority), correct me if I'm wrong.

In that case I'd just go with internetbs.net and private WHOIS.

If I'm wrong and you do need absolute privacy, in terms of no details known even to the registrar, PM me.

Domain privacy is one thing but don't forget to hide your hosting IP. It sounds like you're a seasoned IMer but don't forget putting the domain on a VPS or your own server defeats the private registration. Laugh if you will but I did exactly that. I have my own VPS and realized private registration didn't do me any good. Luckily, I can laugh at myself.

I laugh a lot.

everything shaddelick said, plus go to a public WIFI spot to register.

Goto Walmart and buy vcc with cash, use neighbors wifi far away from your house or school guest wifi to activate the vcc online(use fake address and remember it), then register a domain on namecheap with the vcc. You got your self an annonymous domain, please press thanks :D

There is not nothing really anonymous who can trust?

In canada i think, its require to give an I.D. to buy a credit card like this, i'am wrong?

If you have an LLC you can register under that name. Delaware allows you to be pretty much anonymous in terms of the public having access to specific names.

katzglobal dot com

Here is an offshore domain registrar based in Malaysia/Singapore ;)

These projects may need protection from "higher authorities" so the higher the security, the better. Can someone clarify what a vcc is? Haven't seen that acronym recently.

VCC = Virtual Credit Card. Means you can buy it from a VCC supplier on this forum instead of going to the store and buying a prepaid card(with cash).

Hi Swiss,

Just a heads up if you let the domain expire and privacy expires with it then the true who is shows even a while after the domain has been dropped. I would like to hear what your method is for absolute privacy can u hit me up?

P.S.

Alot of places are requiring id's for multi domain purchases these days.

International rules require that valid contact information be provided for all domain names

Registering fake details will be ok if a normal person tries to grass you up as they will likely be ignored but if you are reported to a registration authority by Police then they will ask you to provide ID to prove who you are and since you wont be able to you will lose the domain.

We dont own domains. That's a misconception. We are just leasing the use of them. Then again thats pretty much the sam,e with a mortgage and look how many buy in to that scam. Same for companies too. They are owned by the Crown in most western countries.
