Registered my first .co domain

the .com version was taken and is listed for sale on buydomains.com for $14k so I decided to register the .co version with the attentions of selling it the domain I got is 5 letters and literally means "you" in the Catalan Language I'm going to park the domain on sedo and see what type of offers I can get, I wanted to know if the .co domains have anything of value?

got any suggestions on what I should ask for the domain I own I'm planning to list my .co around the same asking price as the .com

In my opinion .co is not nearly as valuable as .com. You could get decent money from domains with generic names like fashion.co, realestate.co etc. Check out the following blog post for one guys opinion on .co domains (he says that they are worth 4% of .com):

BUT, you are not stupid if you ask for 14k, if someone buys the domain you're a genius and that guy is the idiot Good luck!

I'm not to familiar with the domain world but I figured i'd make the investment for the hell of it.

Haha, that's the spirit!

.co is an upcoming TLD especially since G.co was bought by Google.

and T.co was bout by twitter.com and o.co was bought by overstock.com
