Register Cheap Private Domains

Hey everyone,
I was looking for a provider then can offer cheap private domain names. GoDaddy has cheap domains, but its at least $12 more to make it private. Is this included in any domain hosts? If so, where can I find it cheaply? Or is GoDaddy pretty standard? I always hear lots of bad things about GoDaddy, so I just want to be sure.

Namecheap offers free privacy for the first year.

yeah I've started doing all mine thru namecheap b/c godaddy rapes u on private registration unless you get 5+ domains at a time.. then private reg is free.
